Union Demands Help From The City After Pair Of Attacks On EMS Workers

Uniformed EMS Officers Union Vice President Anthony Almojera was recently quoted by CBS regarding the recent increase in violence towards our fellow EMS Brothers and Sisters. Lt. Almojera made strong and clear statements regarding the lack of personal protection training that other first responding agencies receive, but EMS does not. Below is the article from CBS and a Tweet from NYC Councilman Joe Borelli showing his concern for this issue and cell phone video of one of the attacks.

Video of one of Wednesday's two attacks on FDNY EMTs. We need to see how we can better protect EMTs and give them tools, training and tactics to better protect themselves and their partners.
